2010 has been a busy year for Mediacurrent. We have nearly doubled in size with the recent additions of Dante Taylor, Roger Soper, Steven Jackson, Jeff Diecks, and Kathy Sommerfeldt. We attribute this expansion to our customers, some amazing partners, and most importantly Drupal.
Roger and Steven are experienced Drupal developers, who will be working on new site build-outs and supporting existing clients. Dante is a gifted designer, Drupal theming specialist, and has a passion for his craft. Kathy is our new office manager, and will be making sure everything behind the scenes is running smoothly. Jeff Diecks brings more than 10 years of web development experience, primarily at Turner Broadcasting Systems in Atlanta, Georgia. In his most recent position as Director of Operations at Turner Sports New Media, his team managed technical operations for NASCAR.COM. Jeff has overseen sizable budgets, introduced web-based product launches, and supervised a team of developers, project managers and contractors. Jeff’s role at Mediacurrent will be multifaceted. He will assist in improving processes, marketing, and managing deliverables on customer engagements among other things.
We feel our team is more complete and well-rounded. The organic growth was spurred by a genuine desire to make sure we could continue to provide a high-level of service to our customers.
The record-breaking Drupalcon numbers, the swelling interest in Drupal talent, and the adoption of Drupal at the enterprise level all point to a maturing technology with lots of momentum – in short, this is an exciting time to be a part of the Drupal ecosystem. This increase in resources will allow more time for commercial and community based initiatives. We will soon announce a new training partnership, alliances with other complimentary service providers, an internship program, and want to continue to help evangelize Drupal, especially in our immediate geographic vicinity. We feel our greatest contribution can come in the form of demonstrating the power of Drupal through actual use cases – seeing is believing!
We are thrilled about the value each of these individuals will bring to the Mediacurrent team. Welcome aboard everyone!
