Theming Specialist

Alpharetta, Georgia or Telecommute (Candidates able to work Eastern or Central Time Zone hours are highly preferred)

Description

The Theming Specialist will create custom Drupal themes based on user interface design mock-ups and/or HTML prototypes. The custom Drupal themes will be cross-browser and cross-device compatible (desktop, tablet, smartphone) depending on project requirements. This individual will collaborate with the Development team to integrate HTML output with user interface styling.

Qualifications

2+ years experience building user interface designs for the web and/or software applications.
2+ years creating custom Drupal themes.
Familiar with front-end styling techniques such as positioning
Ability to understand and act upon written creative briefs/questionnaires.
Ability to effectively multi-task, working on multiple design projects in unison.
Expert Photoshop/Fireworks and/or GIMP skills.
CSS/HTML guru, understanding latest trends and techniques for styling for desktop and mobile browsers.
Knowledge of responsive design, & understanding of mobile-first approach a plus.
Thorough understanding of Drupal’s theming layer - PHPTemplate and theme override techniques.
Great communication skills - ability to articulate complex Drupal front-end concepts to creatives.
Excellent time management, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
