Drupal is a very powerful content management system that can be used to accomplish a wide varity of business goals. It can be used to build simple or very complex websites. It is important before you start your design project to understand what is possible so you can avoid costly implementation mistakes. It is equally important to have a plan and understand how to construct a workable plan to accomplish your goals.

In this presentation, given at Drupalcamp Atlanta this past October, I discuss techniques and best practices when creating a plan to build and designing a drupal website.

Continuing our Drupal 8 webinar series is Dante Taylor.

In this presentation, Dante walks through the state of layout in D8, and what you should know to get started using TWIG. In the latest 2.x branch releases of Drupal the layout module has been taken out of core and now lives as its own separate contrib module. The current Layout module is still on version 1.x and will need to be updated to work with the latest build of D8. TWIG is a flexible, fast, and secure template engine for PHP. One of the major issues with D7 was that its theming layer was inconsistently implemented, and was open to non-secure coding practices. In this presentation Dante will review the steps you should take to get started using TWIG and point out helpful debugging techniques.

In this webinar I will walk through a handful of useful concepts and key differences between the languages. Drupal has several modules such case LESS and Sassy that will help you quickly get up and running using either project.
