Well, sir or madam, there are two ways: write FileMaker scripts to push data to Drupal, or use Drupal to pull data from FileMaker. We suggest the latter, and here’s why.

Do you love FileMaker? Do you work with (or for!) someone who does? I’m now a Drupal Developer at Mediacurrent, but my last position (at Georgia Tech’s Office of International Education) involved a lot of FileMaker work, and this FileMaker integration would have been a lifesaver, so here goes!

The famous Greek philosopher Aristotle stated, “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation.”  Aristotle's dialogues have been used to teach an array of subjects  from physics to poetry.  Mediacurrent has heeded Aristotle's words and has recently stood up a new training division.    As countless Drupal sites are launched daily across the web the demand for sound Drupal specific training has exploded.    The increased number of  Drupal books published over the last several years mirror the Drupal community’s desire for increased training.

In the beginning of the year, Mediacurrent announced an alliance with Open Source Training. For the past few months, the partnership remained largely dormant as we found it difficult to balance the demands of Drupal site-building, while expanding our training services. Ultimately, we decided that we needed a dedicated resource to exclusively focus on Drupal training initiatives. With that said, we are pleased to announce Jordan Schmitt as Mediacurrent’s new Director of Drupal Training.

The Drupal community is eagerly awaiting its newest release (version 7). At this point, the co-maintainers have held the position that Drupal 7 will be released "when it is ready" - in essence, when all the critical issues have been addressed. The list of remaining bugs can be found on drupal.org under the contributor links in the right sidebar. This post will summarize some of the major differences one can expect to find in Drupal 7. To start with, the minimum server requirements for Drupal 7 will be PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.0 (or PostgreSQL 8.3). In addition, the other highlights will include the following:
