Today, we are pleased to announce that Mediacurrent is part of a project team selected to do a major website redesign for the City of Memphis, Tennessee. The City of Memphis will move off of their current ASP-based platform to Drupal and the OpenPublic distribution. We will be teaming up with two partners on the engagement – Linx Consulting, a Memphis based information technology services provider, and Phase2 Technology the creators of OpenPublic.

At the end of this month on September 30th, Mediacurrent is helping organize the first-ever Atlanta Drupal Business Summit. To my knowledge, this is the only time an event tailored to non-developers (i.e. the “suits”) has been held in direct conjunction with a regional Drupalcamp. Let me be blunt, I think Drupal has a serious problem that it needs to address soon, very soon.

Mediacurrent Launches New Website for Manhattan Associates
Mediacurrent is proud to announce the launch of a completely rebuilt and retooled corporate website for Manhattan Associates. Manhattan Associates is a publicly traded, Atlanta headquartered company that is the global leader in international supply chain management. Mediacurrent launched a single Drupal installation powering six fully translated language versions of their primary website. This allowed Manhattan Associates to serve targeted marketing materials and company resources to all of their global vicinities.

NASCAR Home Tracks returned for its fourth season on Drupal with an updated site, launched by Mediacurrent in time for this week's K&N Pro Series West season-opener at Phoenix International Raceway.
Mediacurrent helped introduce NASCAR and Turner Sports to Drupal in 2008 with the launch of the touring series web site, and has continued to build new features into the successful platform each season.

The Drupal community is eagerly awaiting its newest release (version 7). At this point, the co-maintainers have held the position that Drupal 7 will be released "when it is ready" - in essence, when all the critical issues have been addressed.
