The 2012 edition of the Atlanta Drupal Business Summit will bring together real-world professionals to learn about Drupal and open source software. We will share actual Atlanta use cases of Drupal implementations, lessons learned, and gain insight into best practices. Today, we are pleased to announce that Mediacurrent  is part of a project team selected to do a major website redesign for the City of Memphis, Tennessee. The City of Memphis will move off of their current ASP-based platform to Drupal and the OpenPublic distribution.  We will be teaming up with two partners on the engagement – Linx Consulting, a Memphis based information technology services provider, and Phase2 Technology the creators of OpenPublic.

Mediacurrent Launches New Website for Manhattan Associates

Mediacurrent is proud to announce the launch of a completely rebuilt and retooled corporate website for Manhattan Associates. Manhattan Associates is a publicly traded, Atlanta headquartered company that is the global leader in international supply chain management. Mediacurrent launched a single Drupal installation powering six fully translated language versions of their primary website. This allowed Manhattan Associates to serve targeted marketing materials and company resources to all of their global vicinities.

I got involved with Drupal in 2007 when I decided I wanted to build an online community of young people interested in politics in order to encourage their interest and activism. I was in way over my head; I had dabbled with a number of desktop programming languages, but I had never built a website. I got my first hosting account on my dad's recommendation, and it came with an installer for a large number of open-source software in a variety of categories.
